Morenike Euba Oyenusi is a Nigerian-American author whose work spans children’s fiction, poetry, and inspirational non-fiction. A graduate of the University of London and Jesus College, Cambridge, she brings a rich cultural and academic background to her storytelling. Her debut book, Chasing Butterflies in the Sunlight, published in 2021, captures the innocence and joy of childhood through vibrant and heartfelt narratives. This was followed by Isaiah and the Orchestra of Sounds in 2022, a lively and imaginative tale, and The Shepherd’s Care in 2023, a poignant story of loss, kindness, and healing.
Widely traveled and deeply passionate about the arts, Morenike draws inspiration from her experiences living in Nigeria, England, and the United States. She loves reading, good food, the theatre, movies, and London, which holds a special place in her heart. Now based in the U.S. since 1995, she is the proud mother of three children and continues to write stories that inspire, uplift, and connect with readers of all ages.
